4.11.2 Clearing CMOS

To reset the BIOS, remove the on-board battery and press the

J_CMOS1

button for three

seconds or more. In addition, the

J_CMOS2

header provides an additional clear CMOS

button that can be connected to the chassis, allowing users to clear CMOS without

opening the system chassis. The clear CMOS button and header locations are shown in

Figure 4-17

NOTE:

After switching the BIOS1 to BIOS2 or BIOS2 to BIOS1, the user has to

clear the CMOS settings. Please refer to

Section 4.11.3

for

how to

switch BIOS settings.
