In tro d u c tio n

Figure 1-1: IMB-C2160

The IMB-C2160 is a Micro-ATX motherboard. It accepts a LGA1155 Intel® Xeon® E3 or

Intel® Core™ i3 quad/dual core processor and supports four 240-pin 1600/1333 MHz

dual-channel DDR3 DIMM modules up to 32 GB.

The integrated Intel® C216 System Chipset supports two GbE LAN: one through the

Intel® 82579 PHY with Intel® AMT 8.0 support and the other through the Intel® 82574L

PCIe controller.

The IMB-C2160 includes one VGA port. Expansion and I/O include one PCIe x16 slot, one

PCIe x16 slot with x8 signal, two PCIe x4 slots, four USB 3.0 ports on the rear panel, four

USB 2.0 ports on the rear panel, six USB 2.0 ports by pin header, four SATA 3Gb/s

connectors, two SATA 6Gb/s connectors. Serial device connectivity is provided by one

internal RS-422/485 connector, one external RS-232 connector and eight internal RS-232

connectors.
