Step 4: 

Carefully press down on the module until the retention clips lock the module into 

place.   

 

Step 5: 

Close the case cover and fasten the screws. Connect the power adaptor and 

cables back to the GRAND-RE. 

 

3.5 Expansion Card Installation 

  WARNING! 

The following instructions should only be performed by an authorized and 

trained technician.   

Strictly adhere to the instructions to install a network expansion card on the 

system. Failure to do so could result in injury to human body or death. 

The GRAND-RE provides one PCIe x8 expansion slot so that users can add functionality 

to their system. To install expansion card, follow the steps below. 

Step 1: 

Remove the case cover. See 

Section 3.3 

above.
