Within the Firmware Utility window, click the “Get Firmware Version” button to read the firmware version.

In the case where the firmware version mismatches each other, a firmware upgrade is necessary to update the chip’s firmware. To do so, 

complete the steps in How to Upgrade the Firmware to update the chip’s firmware.
