Passwords
How can the administrator password be reset?

If you have changed the camera's administrator password and you do not remember it, you must reset the
camera to the factory settings in order to assign a new password.
Firmware
How to update the camera?
·
When logging into the IDS NXT cockpit , the system checks whether the firmware on the camera is up to
date. If this is not the case, a message is displayed. To update IDS NXT OS on the camera see Updating
IDS NXT OS .
What to do if the camera runs unintentionally in service mode?
·
If a critical error occurs during operation, the camera is restarted in service mode. The camera remains in
service mode until it is rebooted, e.g. by disconnecting the camera from power supply. You can also boot the
camera in runtime mode.
Can I use the reset button during a firmware update?

The reset function is not available during an update. The status LED indicates a warning. Release the reset
button and do the reset after the firmware update.
Vision Apps
Are there new versions of the vision apps for my camera?
·
New vision app versions can be downloaded from the download area of the IDS website: https://en.ids-
imaging.com/downloads.html . Use the IDS NXT cockpitto update the Vision Apps on the camera.
What happens to custom Vision Apps when the camera is reset to factory settings?
·
Resetting the camera to factory settings deletes the camera settings as well as vision apps created by the
user. The default vision apps Clas Object Detector are not affected. You have to reinstall further vision
apps you want to use. You can download the vision apps in the download area of the IDS website:
