RAID Configuration Precautions
The four types of RAID configuration supported are as follows.
Configuration 1
*R1(1,2), R1(5,6)
HDD connection to Internal SATA Port 1,2,5,6
Configuration 2
R1(1,2), R1(3,4), R1(5,6), R1(7,8)
After setting
Configuration 1
, add HDD to Internal
SATA Port 3,4,7,8
Configuration 3
R5(1,2,3,4), R5(5,6,7,8)
Configuration 4
R10(1,2,3,4), R10(5,6,7,8)
* R1(1,2) means RAID 1, which is configured as the HDD
connected to the Internal SATA port 1 and 2.
•
When configuring RAID, you must use HDDs
with the same capacity and of the same model.
•
While RAID is rebuilding due to degradation,
do not remove a HDD to configure the RAID.
If you remove it, the data of all the connected
HDDs may be deleted.
•
It is recommended that you utilize
Configuration 4
, which is the most superior in
seek speed and stability.
