Loading a Tile Roll
Before a tile roll can be loaded, the table must be tilted 90 degrees and the top hat
removed. (See the box below concerning Ideal’s optional Autohat feature.)
RAISING THE TABLE
Always transport an empty trailer with the table wings securely folded to reduce the
width of your trailer on the road. Once you are ready to load a tile spool, the first step
is to unfold the table wings.
Unfolding the Table Wings
Release the pins that secure the wings to the table for transport. Unfold the wings and
replace the pins in the clips to lock them securely. We recommend keeping the wing
nearest to the ground folded when loading a spool to allow for more clearance in
order to align the spool.
Tilting the Table
Use the table remote (corded or wireless options) to tilt the table toward the rear.
Press the UP ARROW button to lift the table until the table is in position.
REMOVING THE TOP HAT
Remove the top hat manually by lifting and pulling until the top has been removed.
Set the top hat aside until the tile roll is loaded on the center tube.
Once the top hat has been removed, align the trailer with the tile spool.

Our Autohat technology allows one person to remove and replace the top hat
automatically with a remote. You can lift and lower the top hat simply by pushing a
button on a remote, all from the comfort of your truck or tractor! Remove the top hat
BEFORE raising the table.
