REMOTE START RUNTIME
Once remote started from your factory key fob or long-range remote, your vehicle will run
for the programmed ‘runtime’ setting. The default runtime is 15 minutes but it can also be
programmed for 3, 5, 10, 25, 30 or 35 minutes. If you wish to change your remote start runtime
setting, contact your Authorized Dealer.
AFTER REMOTE STARTING
A ‘Key Takeover’ procedure is required to prevent the engine from inadvertently shutting down
before driving. See below for instructions for vehicles with and without ‘Comfort Access’:
FOR VEHICLES WITH ‘COMFORT ACCESS’ SYSTEM
Step 1
Unlock and enter the vehicle
Step 2
Apply the foot brake to complete the takeover**
IMPORTANT: If your ‘Comfort Access Sytem’ features are NOT functional following remote start,
please follow the key takeover procedure for vehicles WITHOUT Comfort Access as listed below.
FOR VEHICLES WITHOUT ‘COMFORT ACCESS’
Step 1
Unlock and enter the vehicle
Step 2
Insert the key fob into the key port*
Step 3
Apply the foot brake to complete the takeover**
*The usual key ‘pull’ motion will NOT be heard, the key port will charge your key battery normally.
**Vehicle engine will shut down if step is not completed within 45 seconds.
ADJUSTING YOUR DRIVER SETTINGS
When remote starting, your climate and radio preferences will remain in their last positions
by default. Your seating preferences will not auto-adjust, but can be activated via the pre-
programmed buttons beside your seat.
