5.5 PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

KEYPAD, DISPLAYS (LED/LCD), AND INDICATORS
INSPECTION
Inspect the keypad, displays (LED/LCD), and indicators at least once every 12 months.
To inspect the keypad, displays (LED/LCD), and indicators, see
Figure 5-13
, and proceed
as follows:
1. Place the infuser on a flat, stable surface.
2. Inspect the keypad for tears, cracks, or other damage. Replace the keypad if damage
is observed (see Section 7.3.8.2) .
3. Inspect the keypad for worn or illegible numbers or letters. Replace the keypad
if letters or numbers are not readable.
4. Confirm that the keypad has retained its color. Replace the keypad if any of the
keys have faded or worn color.
5. Inspect the LED display area for cracks or other damage. Confirm that the display
is clean. If the display appears to be damaged, replace the LED display (see
Section 7.3.8.12)

6. Inspect the LCD display area for cracks or other damage. Confirm that the display
is clean. If the display appears to be damaged, replace the LCD
(see
Section 7.3.8.13)
.
To test the keypad, displays (LED/LCD), and indicators, access the System Tests in
Biomed Mode
(see Section 5.6.5)
