Chapter 3: Installation
Software Installation
Windows 95/98/2000/ME
Install the software before installing the hardware as follows:
1. Insert the I/O and Communication Software “C” Series CD into your CD-ROM drive.
2. Go to the SeaCOM directory and click on Install to install the SeaCOM software to your
system.
Windows NT
Install the software before installing the hardware as follows:
1. Insert the I/O and Communication Software “C” Series CD into your CD-ROM drive.
2. Go to the SeaCOM directory and click on Install to install the SeaCOM software to your
system.
3. Install the board into an ISA expansion slot.
4. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel and open the Advanced Ports control panel to
configure the card for Windows NT.
After installing the software for your new adapter card please choose
Launch Help File
. After
the help file comes up, choose the type of adapter that you have, i.e., ISA (Legacy), PCI, PCMCIA.
From there the help file will give you step by step instructions on the installation of your card type.
Please read the help file before installing your adapter. Most all questions you may have about
installation will be covered there.
Linux
Please refer to the Linux subdirectory on your supplied software for up-to-date instructions for
various Linux installations. This is usually found on the
Disk 3
or
Other
subdirectory of the SeaCOM
directory.
QNX
Please refer to the QNX subdirectory on your supplied software for up-to-date instructions for
various QNX installations. This is usually found on the
Disk 3
or
Other
subdirectory of the SeaCOM
directory.
