2.8.4 DB-16P Isolated Input Board
The DB-16P is a 16-channel isolated digital input daughter board with optically
isolated inputs that consist of a bi-directional opto-coupler with a resistor to allow
current sensing. The DB-16P can be used to sense DC signals from TTL levels
up to 24 V or to sense a wide range of AC signals. This board can also be used
to isolate the
host
computer from large common-mode voltages, ground loops
and transient voltage spikes that often occur in industrial environments.
