DIGITAL SELECTIVE CALLING (DSC)

(EN 300 338-8 compatible)
With controllers connected to the transceiver, you can perform DSC remote control
communications. Up to 3 command microphones and an external device can be used as
controllers.
For more information about connecting an external device, see page 82.

Editing a controller name
A name can be assigned to each controller for easy identification.
1. Open the “NAME” screen.
[MENU] > Settings > Configuration > Controller >
Name

Only controllers connected to the transceiver
are listed.

The controller being operated has “(Own)”
appended to its name.

Push [▲] or [▼], or rotate [DIAL] to select a
controller.
3. Push [ENT] or [DIAL] to enter the “NAME”
screen.
4. Edit a controller name.

to enter numbers, and
to enter symbols.
5. Select
, and then push [ENT] or [DIAL] to save the edited name and return to
the previous screen.

Setting the Priority Controller
Select which controller to be used as the Priority Controller.
The Priority Controller takes precedence over other controllers in DSC operations.
Except for sending a Distress call, a DSC task can be handled only by the first controller
operated.
1. Open the “PRIORITY” screen.
[MENU] > Settings > Configuration > Controller >

Push [▲] or [▼], or rotate [DIAL] to select a
controller to be used as the Priority Controller.

The Priority Controller’s ID is automatically
set to 0.
NOTE:
•
If the ID of the external device is set to 0, the device is automatically set as the
Priority Controller.
•
When the external device is set as the Priority Controller, regardless of its ID,
DSC remote control from the device is accepted.
