Only the checked channels in the same scan list are
scanned when [Scan A Start/Stop] or [Scan B
Start/Stop] key is pushed.
[Scan A Start/Stop] and [Scan B Start/Stop] keys are
assigned in Key & Display Assign.
For BIIS PMR:
Never include an MSK channel into the scan list.
The MSK call signal may not be received due to the call
signal time being too short to be received during
scanning.

Scan Mode
Select the scanning mode from Scan OFF, Mode 1
(Vote), Mode 1 (Normal), Mode 2 (Prio-A), Mode 3 (Prio-
A), Mode 2 (R.Sel), Mode 3 (R.Sel), Mode 2 (R.SelA),
Mode 3 (R.SelA), Mode 2 (Prio-A,B) and Mode 3 (Prio-
A,B).
The scan stop time period, the power ON scan function
etc. are programmed in Scan Setting screen.
What is Scanning?
The ability of a radio user to listen to radio traffic on
other channels without having to manually switch from
one channel to another
SCAN LIST
A total of 11 scanning lists ([1] to [9], [0] and [Z]) are
available for wide variety and flexible scanning
operation.
The "Z" set channel is scanned when it is being included
in the same zone with the scan start channel.
Mode 1 (Normal):
Normal scan. Scans all checked channels. The scan
proceeds in sequence.

The last busy or paused channel (CH 02 as above
illustration) is selected automatically when scan is
cancelled.

TX via [PTT] is performed in the last busy or paused
channel.
Mode 2 (Prio-A):
Priority scan. "Priority A" is selected channel in CH Atr in
Memory CH screen is used for the priority channel.
The checked channels are scanned in sequence while
monitoring the priority channel.

The priority channel is selected automatically when
scan is cancelled during scanning.

TX via [PTT] is performed in the priority channel.

When scan is cancelled while receiving a signal, the
channel the signal is received on is selected
automatically.

TX via [PTT] is performed in the channel that received
the signal.
Mode 1 (Vote):
Voting scan. Scans all checked channels to search the
repeater that enables stable communication by
detecting repeater's signal strength.
After the scan, the transceiver selects the repeater
channel that the signal strength is the strongest in the
searched repeaters automatically.
