5.1 - Maintenance
ATTENTION!!!
The appliance must only be serviced by a professionally
qualified technician.
5.1.1 - Checking the status of
the sacrificial anode
For AGUATANK 150, 200, 300 and 500 tanks
As maintenance of the tank, simply check the status of the
magnesium sacrificial anode on an annual basis. To do so,
proceed as follows:

close the domestic water supply;

remove pressure to the domestic system by acting on the
tank drain cock or on the various domestic utilities;

loosen the magnesium anode and check its status;

reassemble the components in reverse order;

restore water supply;
If after the first year the anode is completely corroded, its
status must be checked every six months. The sacrificial
anode consumption depends on many factors, including:
- amount of water used;
- quality of the water used;
- storage temperature.
For AGUATANK 750 and 1000 tanks
The 750 and 1000 tanks are standard fitted with electronic
protection anode, for proper operation simply check its LEDs.
Below is the table that guides to the correct reading of the
LEDs:
ATTENTION!!!
There are two LEDs on the device that indicate, in real
time, the state of protection or any malfunctions. See the
following table for the visual signals.

5.1.2 - Emptying the appliance
To empty the appliance, proceed as follows:

close the main domestic cold water supply cock of the
home;

open both hot water and cold water cocks;

make sure that at least one of them is below the tank level
or open the tank drain cock (if provided, by the installer);

When all of the water has been drained, close the drain
cock;
ATTENTION!!!
It is strictly forbidden to insert chemical additives such
as antifreeze or other inside the domestic water circuit.
ATTENTION!!!
As for the maintenance of the water heater coupled with
the tank, please refer to the water heater installation
manual.
