3. Using Standard Mac OS Network Tools
Running
AddRemoveModem_vX-Y
and pressing “Install Modem” installs D-50
modem drivers.
When
D50_Modem
application runs for the first time and the modem is plugged
into computer, location named “D-50 Modem (country)” is created.
After that you may use your
D-50 modem
either by running
D50_Modem
application, or using standard Mac OS network tools.
This chapter explains how you can use your D-50 modem with only standard Mac
OS network tools without running
D50_Modem
application. (However, you have to
run
D50_Modem
application to change CDMA-specific modem settings, for
example to select Hybrid, 1X-only, or EVDO-only mode.)

To connect to Internet, click the dialup icon located in the upper right corner of the
screen and select “Connect”:
