About this task
Note: Changing the User ID affects the user files reading and writing permissions.
To change the user ID of a selected user:
Procedure
1. From the Users Management for Workgroups window, select a user from the
Users
list and click Change User ID. A warning appears that the reading and
writing permissions of the files will be affected.
2. Click Yes for Are you sure?. The Change User ID window is displayed.
3. Type the new User ID in the User ID: field.
4. Click Ok and wait for the procedure to complete. The new User ID is
displayed next to the name in the Users list.

To enable or disable user permissions:
Procedure
1. From the Users Management for Workgroups window, select a user from the
Users
list and click Activate (if the user access is deactivated) or click
Deactivate (if the user access is enabled).
2. If you click Deactivate, a warning message is displayed that the user will not
be able to access shared paths. Click Yes at the Are you sure? prompt. The user
name will be displayed with (deactivated) in the Users list.
