Hibernation
Mode
36. What is hibernation mode?
Hibernation state stops all tasks and saves all data to the hard drive. To enter this mode,
hold down the
Fn
key on the keyboard and press the
F12
key. To resume your session,
press the power button for no more than 4 seconds.
37. How do I know whether I’m in suspend or hibernation mode?
The following table shows how the indicator behaves in each power management mode:

laptop.

– this port can be used to attach peripherals requiring an IEEE1394
connection.
PC Card
– additional peripherals can be used with this PC Card slot.
