Locating pin
holes
1. Touch the static-protective package that contains the 2x2 2.5-inch SAS/SATA
backplane to any unpainted metal surface on the outside of the I/O enclosure;
then, remove the 2x2 2.5-inch SAS/SATA backplane from the package.
2. Place the 2x2 2.5-inch SAS/SATA backplane on the locating pins inside the I/O
enclosure.
3. Install the retaining screws.
4. Reconnect the cables to the 2x2 2.5-inch SAS/SATA backplane.
5. Install the 2.5-inch hot-swap hard disk drives, if you removed any from the I/O
enclosure (see “Installing a 2.5-inch hot-swap hard disk drive” on page 140).
6. Install the I/O enclosure (see “Installing an expansion enclosure on a
system-board tray” on page 132).
7. Install the system-board tray in the chassis (see “Installing the system-board
tray in a 2U chassis” on page 127).
Removing the 2U chassis from a Type 7825 iDataPlex rack
To remove the 2U chassis from a Type 7825 iDataPlex rack, complete the following
steps.
1. Read the safety information that begins on page vii and “Installation guidelines”
on page 123.
