Operating system or partition requirements
The adapter is supported on the following versions of the operating systems, depending on the system
you are using:
v Linux:
– Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 7.2, with Mellanox Open Fabric Enterprise Distribution (OFED)
3.1.x, or later
PCIe Gen3 x16 GPU Adapter (FC EC49; CCIN 2CE9)

Overview
The PCIe Gen3 x16 GPU Adapter is a double-wide, full-height, PCI express (PCIe) generation 3 (Gen3)
graphics processing unit, compute intensive accelerator adapter. The adapter offers 12 GB of on-board
memory and is optimized for compute-intensive applications. The adapter uses power from the PCIe
connector and auxiliary power source from the system it is placed in. For a graphic of the adapter, see

Important: Graphics processing units (GPUs) and cryptographic application programming interface
(CAPI) adapters cannot be replaced with the power on.
