Appendix B. Using SCSISelect
The SCSI adapter comes with a built-in menu-driven utility program called
SCSISelect. SCSISelect includes a configuration program and a disk utility
program.
When your computer starts up, the following prompt is displayed briefly:
Press <Ctrl><A> for SCSISelect (TM) Utility!
You can start the SCSISelect program by pressing Ctrl+A. The first menu that
is displayed prompts you to choose either to configure and view the adapter
settings or to use the SCSI disk utilities.
SCSISelect uses menus to list options you can select.

To select an option, use the
↑
and
↓
keys to move the cursor to the option;
then press the Enter key.

In some cases, selecting an option displays another menu. You can return to
the previous menu at any time by pressing the Esc key.

To restore the original SCSISelect settings, press the F6 key.

To toggle the display between color and monochrome, press the F5 key.
(This feature might not work on some monitors.)
To exit SCSISelect, press the Esc key until a message prompts you to exit. If
you changed any adapter settings, you are prompted to save the changes
before you exit. At the prompt, select Yes to exit; then press any key to restart
your computer. Any changes you made in SCSISelect will take effect after your
computer restarts.
Configuration utility program
If you choose to configure or view the adapter settings, you can review
settings in the following areas: basic SCSI adapter, boot device, SCSI device,
and advanced SCSI adapter. The following sections provide information on
each of these setting areas.
Basic SCSI adapter settings
The basic SCSI adapter settings are most likely to require some modification.

SCSI adapter SCSI ID - This option sets the SCSI adapter SCSI ID. The
initial value of 7 gives the adapter the highest priority on the SCSI bus. Do
not change this setting.
