Password Prompt

Meaning:

The computer is requesting that you enter the power-on
password. When a power-on password is set, the
password prompt (

) appears each time the

computer is turned on.

Note:

There is a case in which the password prompt

does not appear but you must enter the power-on
password. It is when the computer returned to Resume
Mode. For more information, see "Power-On
Password" on page 49.

Action:

Type the correct power-on password and press Enter.
