If your PC is not recognizing the IBM microdrive
With the Plug & Play feature of Windows® 98 and 95
your PC should automatically recognize the IBM
microdrive.  If it does not do so, do the following:

1.  In Windows, select Start and Settings.
2.  Click Control Panel.
2.  Click the Hardware icon, click Next.
3.  Select No in the Hardware Wizard, click Next.
4.  Select Hard disk controller as the hardware type, 

click Next.

5.  Specify Standard IDE/ESDI hard disk controller

Operating systems

The IBM microdrive has been tested for general
compatibility with the following operating systems:  

Windows 98

Windows 95

Windows CE

Apple® OS (refer to the URL below for the
applicable operating systems)

Other operating systems may be compatible with the
IBM microdrive but have not been tested.
