X 'EB '—Reset Two-Processor Switch
• Function—Resets unconditionally the Two-Processor
switch to the neutral state.
• Request Format
CE/Operator Panel only—Standard format.
• Response Format
Standard format.
X 'E C '—Purge Core Data
• Function-Prevents loss of data when the 2715 is
taken off-line. This request must be preceded by a
‘stop 2790 input’ request, and, if the 2715 is a Model 1,
the Active/Inactive switch must be placed in the
INACTIVE position. This request causes the following
to occur:
1. If no data is destined for the 2740 or a 1053, the
request is continued. Otherwise, 30 seconds are
allowed for the data to be printed out. If all the
data is not printed out within 30 seconds, catalog
number ‘17’ is set in the display register. The request
should be repeated until successful completion.
2. All priority and deferred data is written on disk.
• Request Format
CE Panel—Standard format.
• Response Format
CE Panel request:
a. Positive—Standard format
b. Negative—
1. X‘16’—Channel not off-line.
2. X‘17’—2740 or 1053 on loop not finished printing
after 30 seconds.
3. X‘18’—Data unable to be written on disk.
4. X‘19’—2790 input not stopped.
2790 ER P Message Format
This message is generated and sent to System/360 and
2740 anytime the 2715 executes an ERP on the 2790.
This message has as its transaction control byte X‘FD’
(see “Unsolicited 2715 Responses Sent to System/360”
under “ 2715 Control Requests”) and will have as data
(refer to Figure 30):
= X ‘F1’
r2
= X‘40’ (blank)
r^
= X‘F1’-T h e 2790 adapter error was de
tected (catalog number X‘95’ was also
set on 2715 panel).
= X‘F2’—A segment had to be bypassed
because of an error condition (catalog
number X‘96’ also set).
= X‘F3’—The 2790 transmission system
would not sync (catalog number X‘97’
set).
r4
= Blank (X‘40’)
r5 ’ r6
= Nummary of 2790 adapter and segment
status:
r^ = X‘F8’—The 2790 adapter checked
OK and was left enabled,
r^ = X‘F0’—The 2790 adapter checked bad
and was left disabled,
r^ = X‘FN’, where the four bits o f N ( b j ,
