STEERING BRAKES ADJUSTMENT
When the steering brake lever develops an excessive play, it is necessary to adjust cable tension.
This operation can be performed in one of the two following ways.
1. Near the levers (fig. 8): loosen the locknut and rotate the adjusting nut in the direction of the arrow. This
will reduce the lever clearance.
2. The correct lever clearance should be between 1 and 5 mm (fig. 9).
After adjustment, tighten the lock nut securely.
CRAWLER TENSION ADJUSTMENT
While the tracks are still new, they will stretch and adjust to the sprockets. As a result, they will become
loose and need adjustment. When crawler tension is not normal, the tracks can come off the rollers, short-
ening their life considerably.
To adjust them, lift the bed.
The correct crawler tension is achieved by moving the front axle longitudinally. Please follow these instruc-
tions.
1. With a 17 mm wrench, free the axle movement by loosening the two outer fixing bolts (fig. 10).
2. Loosen the lock nuts on the registers (fig. 10) and adjust right and left adjusting bolts.
3. Adjust crawler tension as per fig. 11, leaving a clearance of 10-15 mm between crawler and rollers.
Tighten the register locknuts and then also inner and outer fixing bolts.
Note:
Both inner and outer fixing bolts need to be loosen when adjusting one single crawler tension.
LIFTING THE MACHINE FOR TRANSPORT
The unit can be lifted with cloth bands suitable to support its weight.
When lifting the machine, secure the bands under the front part of the bed and under the rear part of the
shift lever cover.
When lifting machine, there will be danger of it falling down.
Therefore, never come too close.
Always to be lifted with empty body (without load).
