INSTALLATION
OF
IBC CABINET WATER SOFTENER UNIT
FITTED WITH MODEL 255 VALVE/960 CONTROL
Check the equipment upon arrival for damage or shortages and report same to our Office or
agent before starting.
Position the Softener Cabinet on a firm foundation, preferably concrete, with sufficient space
for operation and maintenance.
STEP 1
Connect inlet, outlet pipes and drain line to control valve as per Instruction
Booklet (page 16, figure 3). For the drain line connection to the valve a 15mm
hose tailpiece is supplied loose in the carton.
STEP 2
Remove from cabinet and remove polystyrene packing piece. Then connect
brine overflow drain line to waste trap. Note: Air gap required as per
Instruction Book on 960 Valve.
STEP 3
Refer to Instruction Booklet for start up procedure (page 23 “Placing
conditioner into Service”).
STEP 4
Load recommended quantity of water softener salt into brine tank and replace
lid (refer to Table 3 “Brine Tank Salt Loading”).
