Names and Function on Each Part
Front Panel
1. INPUT Jack: 1/4” phone jack input.
TUBE SCREAMER Section
2. OVERDRIVE: Controls the distortion depth. Turning the knob
clockwise increases both distortion and sustain.
3. TONE: Controls the overall tone.
4. LEVEL: Controls the output level of the TUBE SCREAMER sec-
tion.
5. TUBE SCREAMER Switch: This switches the TUBE SCREAMER
section between ON and OFF. When this is turned OFF, the guitar
signal bypasses TUBE SCREAMER section.
Tube Section
6. BOOST Switch: This turns on/off an additional boost circuit sepa-
rate from the TUBE SCREAMER section. When this is turned ON,
the guitar signal is boosted by 6dB at over the whole frequency
range just before the tube section.
7. GAIN: Controls the guitar signal level in pre-amplifier stage.
8. BASS: Controls low frequency range.
9. MIDDLE: Controls middle frequency range.
10. TREBLE: Controls high frequency range.
11. VOLUME: Controls the output level from this amplifier. The amp
can be overdriven by turning the volume up.
12. STANDBY Switch: This switch engages the high voltage DC to the
tubes. Always power the amplifier on using the POWER Switch
with this switch in the STANDBY (down) position. Wait for at least
30 seconds after turning POWER on and then engage the STAND-
BY Switch into the ON (upright) position. Powering up in this fash-
ion will help to preserve tube life. It is also best to put the amp into
the STANDBY position when taking breaks.
13. POWER Switch: This switch turns the AC power on/off the ampli-
fier. Use it in conjunction with STANDBY switch to properly power
the amplifier on. When this is turned ON, the red LED on the right
will be illuminated.
Rear Panel
14. AC INPUT: Connect the included AC power cable to this connec-
tor. Only use this amp with the voltage indicated on the panel.
15. SPEAKER OUTPUT Jacks: Connect to speaker cabinet with
speaker cable. Refer to “Connection to Your Speaker Cabinets”.
16. IMPEDANCE SELECT Switch: Select the total impedance value of
speaker cabinets connected to SPEAKER OUTPUT jacks. Refer to
“Connection to Your Speaker Cabinets”.
17. RETURN Jack: This is an input for an effects device. Connect the
output of your effects device to this input. This jack connects to the
input of tube circuit.
18. SEND Jack: This is an output for an effects device. Connect it to
the input of your effects device. The output of TUBE SCREAMER
circuit connects to this jack.
19. FOOTSWITCH Jack: Connect to the footswitch IFS2G or IFS2L.
You can control the TUBE SCREAMER and BOOST switch via
footswitch. When the footswitch is connected, both on/off switches
on the front panel are disabled.
