IAG Battery Tie Down
Part# IAG-ENG-5008BK / BL / RD / SL
Tools Required: 10mm wrench / 10mm Deep Socket (1/4”
drive preferred) / ratchet / torque wrench
Thank you for choosing IAG Performance. The battery tie
down is designed to secure the OE Subaru battery in your
engine bay. CAD modeled and CNC machined this piece is
designed to brighten your engine bay and pay homage to
the boxer engine. Supplied with your tie down are new j-
hooks and acorn nuts. You are not required to use the
supplied hardware but we feel it provides a more polished
appearance. We have tested this on several aftermarket
batteries with success, however if you have a different size
aftermarket battery you may be required to reuse your j-
hooks.
Please follow the instructions below for an easy
installation.
Removal
:
1. Using your 10mm wrench, disconnect the negative
battery terminal.
2. Using your 10mm socket and ratchet, remove the nuts
holding the existing tie down on top of the battery.
3. Remove the factory tie down and set aside.
Take note of where the bottoms of the j-hooks are
secured. Gently push down on the old j-hooks to dislodge
them from the engine bay. Set them aside with you old
hardware.
