To add/remove groups of characters to/from the default subset,
select or deselect the proposed selections, then click
OK to
confirm.
All : Select all characters of the subset defined according to the
chosen reading mode and language.
A-Z : Select all upper-case letters from A to Z
a-z : Select all lower-case letters from A to Z
0-9 : Select all numbers between 0 and 9
Character string : Type in any character to be added to the
subset.

TUNING THE BARCODE READING
The IRISPen allows you to fine-tune the barcode reading. You can
limit the reading to specific barcodes and even make the software
automatically verify and erase their check digits.

Read Bar Codes
The Read Bar Codes option is used to set the bar codes reading as secondary
reading mode and thus read barcodes as well as other data. This allows you to
read text, numeric data or handprinting,
as well as barcodes without having to
change your settings.
