When the symbol "

" appears, the battery is low and should be

replaced immediately.

Wait until the thermometer turns off automatically, then open the

battery cover gently with thumb at the location indicated in the

following figure. Replace the exhausted battery with a new one of

the same type. Close the battery cover.
