Fingertip test only:

If you are sick

After exercising

Less than 2 hours after exercising

Within 2 hours of taking or injecting insulin
AST Results

If the blood glucose test result from the AST does
not match how you feel, DO a fingertip test to
check the result again.

Do NOT change your treatment because of an
alternative site result, do a fingertip test to check
the result.
NOTE :

Talk with your healthcare provider before you test with
samples from your forearm or palm.
 Do NOT ignore symptoms of high or low blood glucose.
 Fingertip samples are able to show the rapid change of
glucose faster than forearm samples.
