Possible short-time mild smoke is not a defect and the appliance is not subject to a complaint
for this reason. After the appliance cools down, swipe the parts that come in contact with
food with a soft, wet and clean cloth or a paper towel (see par. V. MAINTENANCE ).

IV. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Place the assembled appliance on a flat, steady, smooth and clean surface at a height of at
least 85 cm, out of the reach of children (see sec. I. SAFETY WARNINGS ). Leave enough
space to ensure sufficient ventilation. Plug the power cord connector A6 to an electric socket
and make sure the power cord is not damaged, it goes under the toaster or through any
sharp or hot surfaces. The socket must be readily accessible so that the appliance could be
easily disconnected from the mains in case of danger. Now the appliance is ready for use.
A red signaling light A2 will come on, signaling connection to electric power supply. The
plates will start to heat. When the operating temperature is reached, the green signaling
light A2 will come ON. When the appliance is used for the first time, short and slight smoke
may occur which does not mean any defect. Open the lock A4 and lift off the lid A1 using the
handle A3 .
