2.3. Telephone Operation
2.3.1. Hands Free Calling
1) When an incoming call arrives at the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio via your connected
Bluetooth mobile phone,
INCOMING
appears on the display for 3 seconds and then the
calling telephone number is shown on the display.

to answer the incoming call.
HANDSFREE
appears on the display.
3) To end the call, press button

is displayed.
4) If you wish to reject an incoming call, press button

5) To make a call, use the keypad of the connected Bluetooth mobile phone to enter the
number to be called and press the OFF HOOK (green) button on your mobile phone.

OUTGOING
is displayed on the display of the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio and the call
continues in hands free mode.
7) The call may be ended by pressing button
2!
or the ON HOOK (red) button of the
connected mobile phone.
Notes When Making or Receiving a Call:
a.
It is important to press the OFF HOOK (green) button on the mobile phone to make a
call if the number to be called is entered using the keypad of the mobile phone.
b.
It is possible that during an incoming or outgoing call, the connection between your
phone and the other party may drop out or end for no apparent reason. In most
cases, this will be due to the mobile telephone network. Make sure the mobile phone
is as close as possible to the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio to ensure best Bluetooth
connection quality.
c.
To ensure the best sound quality at both calling party end and within the cabin during
a hands free call, close the windows and speak clearly toward the HYUNDAI
Bluetooth radio.
2.3.2. Last Number Redial
1) Select BLUETOOTH mode by pressing button

Notes When Redialing a Previously Called Number:
Some mobile phones may require an additional press of button

to start the last
number redial call.
2.3.3. Switching to Private (Handset) Mode During a Call
During an incoming or outgoing call started in hands free mode, it is possible to switch to
the private call mode using the mobile phone handset to speak to and hear the calling
party in private.
1) Press button

during the conversation;
PRIVATE
appears on the display.
2) To return to hands free mode press button

again during the private conversation;
HANDSFREE
is shown on the display and hands free call operation continues.
Note:
Switching to private mode may cause the Bluetooth connection to be lost when
using some mobile phones. The Bluetooth connection will automatically restore
after the call has been ended.
