DRIVING

AUTONOMOUS  EMERGENCY  BRAKING (AEB)

The Autonomous Emergency

Braking (AEB) system is

designed to detect and monitor

the vehicle ahead or detect a

pedestrian in the roadway

through radar signals and

camera recognition to warn the

driver that a collision is

imminent, and if necessary,

apply emergency braking.

To activate the system,

Cluster type A

: Select “User Settings   Driving Assist   Forward

Collision Warning   Autonomous Emergency Braking”

Cluster type B

: Select “User Settings   Driving Assist

Autonomous Emergency Braking”
The system deactivates, when the system setting is canceled.

Type A

Type B

NOTE:

• The main role of AEB is to assist braking but not to automatically
  stop the vehicle by braking.
• If vehicle speed is high, a crash may occur even when AEB
  was activated.

The Cruise Control system allows you to

program the vehicle to maintain a

constant speed without depressing the

accelerator pedal.
