Instructions for Use
First check that the voltage marked on the product is the same as your supply voltage.
Select a suitable position close to an electric socket, on a dry and even surface.
Make sure the control button is turned to the MIN (minimum) setting. Plug in the appliance.
There is an invisible protective coating applied on the hotplates as part of the manufacturing
process. This protective coating must be removed before you can use the appliance for the
first time. In order to do this, set the control to the maximum setting and leave switched on
for approximately 10 minutes. Make sure that the room is properly ventilated, as smoke will
develop. This is not a cause for concern; it is the process by which the protective coating is
removed. Switch off the hot plate and allow to cool down completely, the appliance is now
ready for use.
Always use flat-bottomed saucepans, which make good contact with the hot plate. The sau -
cepan bases should ideally be of the same size as the hot plate.
Turn ON the plate by control button and select the temperature. The hot plate has a range
of temperature. The lamp will go off when the hot plate reaches the selected temperature
and will cycle on and off to maintain temperature.
Due to the hot plate’s construction, residual heat will remain after switching off. This may
be used to keep food warm for a short period. After use, turn temperature dial to MIN and
unplug the appliance from electrical outlet.
