D. Internet Connection
D-1: IP address is used by one DVR only
Assume the static IP address you get from ISP is 211.23.87.163.
When
(1)
The IP address is not used by any other devices, and
(2)
ISP does not require user name and password to connect,
You can connect like the following figure:
ADSL Modem
DVR
Ethernet (RJ45)
In this case, just follow the instructions in section 3-6-7 and section 4-2 to make the DVR on
Internet.
User from Internet can use
http://211.23.87.163
to connect to the DVR.
D-2: IP address is shared by more than one devices
Assume the static IP address you get from ISP is 211.23.87.163.
When
(1) The IP address is shared by more than one devices, or
(2) ISP requires user name and password to connect,
You can connect like the following figure:
