Depressing the rear brake pedal will

apply the rear brake.

The brake lamp will be illuminated when

the rear brake is operated.

REAR BRAKE PEDAL

Apply the brake lightly and with great
care on slippery surfaces to avoid
skidding.

WARNING

have a

5-speed transmission which operates as
shown.

To shift properly, pull the clutch lever and

close the throttle at the same time you
operate the gearshift lever. Each time that a
gear is selected, the gearshift lever will
return to its normal position ready to select
the next gear.

Lift the gearshift lever to upshift and

depress the lever to downshift.

Neutral is located between first and 2nd

gear.

When neutral is desired, depress or lift the

lever halfway between first and 2nd gear.

It is not possible to upshift or downshift

more than one gear at a time.

When shifting from first to 2nd gear or

2nd gear to low, neutral will be
automatically skipped.
