5 ASSEMBLING THE PRODUCT
5.1 Assembly
WARNING | Risk of injury caused by
handling heavy loads!
→ The product must be assembled by
at least two people and with the use
of appropriate tools (e.g. cranes,
lifting equipment).
→ The product is to be set up in
accordance with the included
assembly instructions.
→ Follow the instructions in the other
applicable documents when installing
accessories and add-on parts.
→ The fasteners for the fixed installation of
products that are connected to a substrate
or a wall (e.g. by screw connection) must be
designed and provided on site and are not
included in our scope of delivery.
6 OPERATION
6.1 Brake unit
Before getting on a mobile product, always
engage the brake unit on it.
WARNING | Risk of falling!
The product can move uncontrollably if
the brakes are not applied.
→ Before getting on the product,
ensure that the brakes have been
applied.
→ Release the brakes before moving the product.
Engage the brakes again once the product is at
the next location.
→ Lift up the pedal to release the castor.
→ Push down the pedal to lock the castor in
place.
6.2 Guardrails
The products are equipped with guardrails as a fall
protection measure.
WARNING | Risk of falling!
There is a risk of falling if appropriate fall
protection is not used.
→ Before getting on the product, check
to ensure that all guardrails have
been properly installed.
→ If there are no guardrails to prevent
falls and if there is a risk of falling,
the product must be used in
conjunction with the appropriate fall
arrest PPE.
→ The product is fitted with corresponding
mounts for installing guardrails. The guardrails
are clamped and secured in place using screws.
→ The mounts for removable guardrails are
equipped with a clamping lever that can be
released to allow the guardrail to be detached.
→ When installing a removable guardrail, the
clamping lever must be properly tightened to
ensure the guardrail is firmly attached.
