»
Clean the strainer.
»
Unscrew the hand nuts (A).
»
Remove electrodes (B).
»
Clean electrodes and check elec-
trode wear (s. „Changing electrodes“
section).
»
Check sensor electrode for salt
deposits and remove them if neces-
sary (until metallically bright).
»
Check the inside of the top part of
steam cylinder for crust build-up and
possible salt bridges (black grooves
between the electrode leads).
»
Remove the deposits by scraping /
scrubbing them off.
»
Replace the O-rings of the elec-
trodes.
»
Install new electrodes (48). Make
sure that the electrodes are posi-
tioned correctly (see exploded view).
The deposits in the upper part of the cylinder
can be conductive and lead to unwanted cur-
rents between the electrode connections and
the sensor electrode and thus to the mes-
sage "cylinder full".
If electrical bridges have penetrated deep
into the material, the steam cylinder must be
replaced.
»
Check the base and its connections
for limescale deposits and clean if
necessary.
»
Insert a new O-ring in the base.
»
Insert new O-rings between the cyl-
inder halves, in the base and in the
steam hose adapter.
