Screw the mounting bracket to the
pipe work with a screwdriver.

Clip on the lower section and withdraw
the split pin

Plug in the low voltage cable into the
unit and connect the transformer to the
mains supply. The red light should glow
brightly.
To remove the unit from the pipe replace
the split pin and slide the lower section off
then pull the top section off the pipe clamp. 

Push the top section firmly onto the
bracket.

FAULT FINDING

The red light on the side of the unit shows that the signal is being transmitted
into the water. It should be bright,  if this is not the case check the following. 

1. The split pin has not been removed – remove the pin

2. There is no electrical supply or the low voltage connector has not been fully

inserted – check the mains supply is ‘ON’

3. The unit may be fitted in an electrical loop – this can be caused when the unit

is fitted  in a pipe work loop or where there is an earth bonding on either side
of the unit – reinsert the split pin and remove the unit from the pipe,
reassemble off the pipe and remove the split pin, if the light is now bright find
a location out of the loop to fit the unit.

NOTE: The E Version in-line power supply is fitted with a moulded on
power plug if this is removed then this unit must only be installed by
a qualified person in accordance with the latest wiring regulations
