Install and Properly Vent the Water Heater
Failure to read and understand the instructions, warnings and cautions of usage of the water heater
as outlined in this manual can result in unsafe operation of the water heater. To avoid the risk of fire,
explosion or asphyxiation from carbon monoxide.
• Never operate this water heater unless it is in the upright position with the vent on top and the wheels
resting on the ground.
• Never operate unless there is adequate air supply and proper ventalation and only outdoors.
• Be sure to inspect the gas line for leaks with a soapy solution.
•
Be sure to inspect the exhaust port area and make sure that it is 36 inches or 80 cm. from any
flammable material or over hanging material.
• Always, REMOVE both vent ports from top and lower side BEFORE operation.
• Do not leave unattended.
•
The exhaust gas and top of the portable tankless water heater is HOT! Do not place hands or any
foreign object near the top of the heater.
• Do not use in high wind conditions.
•
If the smell of gas is detected, turn off the gas valve at the tank immediately! Do not use flame for
leak detection.
• Use only Liquid Propane.
• Use only outdoors.
• Do not over tighten the gas regulator connection to the portable tankless water heater with a wrench.
This may cause a crack in the gas regulator.

products for specific uses.Your local authorities can advise you
about these.
• Never refill disposable cylinders.
• Use the preset regulator that is installed in the water heater. Do
not attempt to adjust.

SERVICE SAFETY

Keep all connections and fittings clean. Inspect propane
cylinder and propane connections for damage before
attaching.
•
During set up, check all connections and fittings for leaks
using soapy water. Never use a flame. Bubbles indicate a leak.
Check that the connection is not cross-threaded and that it
is tight. Perform another leak check. If there is still a leak,
remove the cylinder and contact Savu for service or repairs.
• Use for water heating only. Never alter in any way or use with
any device or part not expressly approved by Savu.
• Always use in an upright position.
