A clogging indicator on the filtration unit shows the
contamination level of the filter element.
When operating the filtration unit with a new filter
element and a fluid viscosity of < 100mm²/s, the
pressure gauge shows minimal pressure at most.
The pressure gauge measures the back-pressure
upstream of the filter cartridge and is an indication of
the degree of contamination of the filter cartridge as
increasing contamination leads to increasing flow
resistance of the filter element.
For visual representation, the pressure gauge has a
green area and a red area. If the pointer leaves the
green area, the filter element is clogged.
Replace the filter element immediately.
