Checking/replacing carbon blades
1. Unscrew the housing cover (b) from the housing.
2. Remove the carbon blades (e) for inspection. All the carbon blades must
have a minimum height of X=12mm.
Replace the carbon blades only as a set and not
individually.
If, while checking the carbon blades, it is ascertained that the minimum
height has already been reached or has fallen below, then replace the carbon
vane set.
1. Blow off the housing and rotor slits with compressed air.
2. Insert the carbon blades in the rotor slits. While inserting, pay attention
that the carbon blades are facing with the inclined side (Y) outwards and
this inclination in the direction of rotation (O
1
) matches the course of
housing bore (Z).
3. Screw on the housing cover (b) slightly.
4. Switch on the vacuum pump briefly (inching operation) to check the free
operation of the carbon blades.
5. Tighten the screws (s) with a torque of 5.5 Nm.
6. The replacement of the carbon blades is complete.
