Troubleshooting and measures after an alarm/failure
Measures when the alarm pressure level is reached
If the control lamp lights and the TCU still functions, the pressure currently
measured is higher than the preset alarm pressure SP2.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Check the degasification and dewatering unit for function, see Page 49.
2.
If the degasification and dewatering unit functions normally, then it is
probable that gas formation in the transformer has increased significantly, or
for example the membrane in the expansion vessel leaks in a sealed
transformer.
If the alarm level is reached after a longer TCU downtime, this is due to a
natural increase in the gas content.
To stop the alarm, change the setting for the alarm pressure SP2 in the EDS
as described in Page 36.
Note down the set 'alarm pressure' and the date in the record book.
3.
If the decreased vacuum level cannot be explained logically, take a gas
sample using the gas sampling bag to determine the gas formation rates,
and a DGA (analysis of the gas in the oil).
Inform the person responsible for operating this unit of this malfunction.
4.
Note the new point set in the record book.
5. Resume
operation.
