5. Operating instructions

When the HMG 500 is switched on, a
two-line display of measured values
appears:

z

1st line:
Measured value on

Channel A

 + unit

z

2nd line:
Measured value on

Channel B

  + unit

Of course this is only the case when
sensors are connected. In addition
the Portable Data Recorder is only
designed for connecting to HYDAC
HSI sensors. If a channel is not being
used, a dotted line is displayed.

You also have the possibility of
measuring and displaying a 

value

differential

 between channel A

and B. The differential value 

Channel

A - B

 can only be measured if two

sensors with identical measuring
ranges are connected. The differential
value always appears in the second
line of the display and is indicated by
A - B.

Please note that the differential is
always A - B and it might therefore be
necessary to transpose the
connection of the sensors to channel
A and B.
