3.0  FACING AND FINISHING

3.1  Facing and Finishing Requirements 

3.1.1  Mantel Requirements

WARNING: All minimum clearances to combustible material MUST be 

maintained.

• 

Combustible Mantel Projections: 

As referenced in Figure 3.1

the 2" (51mm) mantel can start at 2-7/8" (73mm) above the 

top of the viewing opening. Mantel projections can increase 2" 

(51mm) of depth for every 1" (25mm) of height starting at the 2" 

(51mm) mantel. 

3.1.2  Finishing Requirements

• 

This appliance is designed to accommodate finishing material up 

to 5/8" (16mm) thick.
