9 Repair Instructions

9.1 General repair instructions

WARNING!

The battery must always be re-

moved for service/repair work and 

may only be replaced once the 

pole hedge trimmer has been fully 

assembled again!

Make sure the transport protection 

is always located on the cutting 

unit when working on the bevel 

gear and the cutting unit.

9.2 Dismantling the gear package

1

Remove the screws holding the cover.

Disconnect the cables of the motor. Lift the cable shoe 

straight up.

NB! See "9.19 To disconnect the motor cables" on page 

48 for a detailed description of disconnecting the mo-

tor.

NB! The positioning of the wiring and the wiring colors 
are engraved in the air conductor.

Dismantle the screw holding the air conductor and lift 

away the guide.

Lift out the lower engine cover.

NB! See "9.20 "To disassemble and assemble the air 

conductor" on page 48 for a detailed description of 
disassembling the air conductor.
Refer to SB B1180039A-07 for important information 
about the Air Conductor.

NOTE!

Note that the screws at the top of the gear 

are of the same length. The screws on the 

bottom are of the same length. Be sure to 

keep them apart.

Loosen the two cable shoes for the transport mode 

sensor.

Dismantle the cover on the gear joint, 5 screws.

Repair Instructions

NOTE!

Note how wires, components, etc., are posi-

tioned before dismantling. 

Make sure to position them correctly to 

avoid pinching when the product is reas-

sembled.
