5. DC CHARGING

WARNING:

Use ONLY the supplied DC charge CORD; do not substitute. DC charge requires
the use of the supplied DC adapter.

1. Connect the barrel connector of the DC charge cord to the worklight’s DC

receptacle (4) and the other end to a 12 volt DC source, such as your automobile’s
12 volt accessory receptacle.

2. Recharge for 3 hours maximum. Do not overcharge. There is no indicator to show

full charge.

3. After charge - disconnect cord and wait 5 minutes before use.

6. FUSE REPLACEMENT

The worklight is equipped with a coiled cord with a 5-amp fuse. If this fuse blows, there
may be a short circuit in the power cord or lamp assembly. The fuse will blow if the
battery is connected with reverse polarity.

Check the fuse with an ohmmeter or other continuity checker. If the fuse is blown,
investigate why the fuse blew and correct the problem before replacing the fuse. The
fuse is accessed by unscrewing (counterclockwise) the tip of the large DC plug. Ensure
the same type and value fuse is used as replacement.

7. BULB REPLACEMENT

NOTE:

When handling a new halogen bulb, use a clean tissue, do not touch the glass
portion of the bulb. Natural oils from your hands can cause the bulb to fail. If
necessary, clean the bulb with alcohol or a liquid window cleaner.

For bulb replacement, you will need a small Phillips screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the worklight from any charging/power source.
2. Remove the rubber bezel by pulling it away from the lamp lens.
3. Remove the four Phillips-head screws that secure the lens guard to the worklight

body.

4. Carefully separate the lens guard, glass and rubber gasket.
5. Carefully lift the reflector and bulb assembly out of the housing. See Figure 6.
6. Unsnap the retaining wire from the reflector’s flange by pinching the two ends

together and lifting.

7. Loosen the Phillips-head retaining screw to remove the bulb assembly from the

reflector. (There is no need to completely remove this screw.)

8. Slightly turn and lift out the bulb assembly from the back of the reflector.
9. Disconnect the bulb assembly (white wire) from the power wire by separating the

male spade terminal from the female terminal.

10. Insert the replacement H3, 25-watt, 12-volt halogen bulb assembly into the reflector

flange.

11. Reverse the proceeding procedure to reassemble the worklight.

Replacement worklight bulb assemblies are available from an electrical supply house.
