6 Troubleshooting
Issue
Correction
The movable compo-
nents of the machine do
not move at all or not
smoothly.
1. The shafts have to be slightly
lubricated.
2. The drive thread between
the shafts must be totally
clean and must not be ham
pered or its operation com
promised in any way.

Service and Maintenance
• Clean the machine completely at the end of every job,
especially if it was used extensively and/or for long
periods of time for this job.
• Check that the shafts along which the movable parts
move are always clean and slightly lubricated with oil
or grease.
• Check the clamps and their locking/tightening mecha
-
nism for proper operation.
• Check the PTFE coating of the spigots and sockets.
Their surface should be homogeneous and without
scratches. If the material integrity is compromised or
the piece is damaged, it should be replaced.
• At the end of every job—preferably when the spigot
and socket are still warm—, remove any residues of
the thermoplastic material with a cloth or soft paper.
Caution
When removing residues or handling still-warm
sockets and spigots in any way, always wear heat-
resistant protective gloves.
