5.3 Disposal
5.3.1 Liquid Waste from Pipettor and Wash Unit
1. Open screw cap on liquid waste container.
2. Dispose liquid waste in accordance with the legal provisions and clean the
container.
3. Close screw cap again and check proper seat of level sensors and connec-
tions.
5.3.2 Disposable Tips
1. Disposable tips are automatically ejected at the tip ejection station. Via a slide
they go directly into the plastic waste container at the instrument front panel.
5.3.3 Replace Waste Container for Disposable Tips
1. Pull cover plate next to the plate compartment out horizontally from the front.
2. Take waste container off the retaining ring and close it using the supplied lid.
3. Place new waste container with plastic reinforcing onto the retaining ring and
push it down.
4. Attach cover plate again.
5. Dispose off the closed waste container in accordance with the legal require-
ments.
Potentially infectious material and all parts that may come in contact
with potentially infectious material must be disposed off according to
the legal requirements of the relevant country.
5.3.4 Disposal of Instrument
Disposal of the instrument according to national legislation.
5.3.5 Disposal of Packaging Material
Disposal of the packaging material according to national legislation.
