Brakes

Handlebar brakes: braking is done by squeezing both brake levers on the
handlebar. The left hand brake operates the front wheel brake. The right hand
brake operates the brakes on both rear wheels. When cornering, it is best to use
the right-hand brake. Practise braking in a large enclosed area before you hit the
road. You will then become familiar with the system.

Be careful with the front brake when cornering. Using only the front
brake in a corner can cause instability of the bike.

Always use the parking brake when getting on or off the bike. This
prevents the bicycle from rolling away. This reduces the risk of falling.

Pedal assisted bicycle

Your Vasco is equipped with pedal assistance. The electric motor is activated as
soon as you start pedalling. Pedalling then becomes lighter. If you stop pedalling,
the pedalling assistance stops too.

The pedal assistance is switched on by pressing the on/off button
for 3 seconds.

You can set the support at 5 different levels by using the arrow
keys on the handlebar.

To switch off the pedal assistance, press and hold the on/off
button for 3 seconds.

With pedal assistance

&

 walking aid

The walking aid is meant to get you going more easily
from a standstill. By pressing and holding the '-' button,
you activate the pedal assistance and the motor will
drive up to 6 km/h without you having to pedal along.
When you release the arrow button, the motor will stop
driving immediately.
